Not for us!!

Hotel lacking in a number of areas. Advised that property maybe being used as emergency accommodation to help house homeless in area; a disclosure of this prior to booking may have assisted with decision to book hotel in first place. Owners not helpful and alternative accommodation booked last minute.

Nice Motel with lovely staff

Booking was for one night requiring an early check in. Owner/manager offered to drop us off to our wedding as well as let us into the room early even though staff were still cleaning. Really appreciated staff friendliness. Room was so clean and spotless. Stay was lovely - and close to local shops. Highly recommend staying here.

Room stank of smoke, had to clean everyday. Bed bugs. Will never stay there again. Husband was unhelpful and stressed.

Wouldn't have stayed here if we had another option

Dirty room showing ongoing lack of cleanliness. We slept with the towels over the pillowcases just in case. Flies everywhere. Lots of road noise from Great South Road. Good location just off motorway and near Papakura heart, but would never recommend this to anyone but the desperate (as we were).

Nice hotel in a lovely community

The hotel is in walking distance of several parks, the centre of town with many locally owned shops. As all town feel in a larger centre. We extended our stay. Highly recommend this motel.

Good for short stay.

Location was ok. Motel was noisy and people coming and going, someone knocked on door for a lite for cigarette, suppose to be non smoking. Internet was not reliable. Not a family place. Clean but dated. Hot water heater needs turning down,water almost scalding. People who operate place were nice.

Overnight stay

Needed an overnight stay after a long flight, and booked this motel for it's convenient location i.e. we needed to head south of Auckland but didn't want to drive too far for the first night after a very early start and a long flight. Motel was clean and comfortable. Room was a little small but adequate for just an overnighter. Also, within 5 mintues walk of a supermarket so handy for getting something for dinner that night. We drove to Matamata and Hobbiton after check out and because this motel is south of Auckland, we had a smooth run continuing south without the hassle of having to battle Auckland traffic to get there. That in itself was worth the price!!

moisture leaking into cupboard under sink causing a musty smell. Sealant between bench and wall requires fixing correctly with primer and sealant to ensure seal is well bonded.

Bed too soft

Only stayed one night. Staff friendly and helpful re local eateries. We found the bathroom like a dog box and as there were just the two of us we coped. Cooking smells from next unit was annoying. Room was very clean.

Lovely and great service.

The owners really went out of their way to take care of us. Did some washing for us dried it and delivered it to our room. This was at night time when the office was actually closed. Our room was made up each morning which we hadn't expected . Highly recommended

Overnight stay

We used this motel just for an overnight stay as it was close to the highway on our way to Taupo. There was nothing special about it but it was clean and tidy and it had air condutioning and free wifi.
