Check-in and check-out were easy, the staff were lovely, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. And we were close to the event we were attending over the long weekend. A few concerns though; there was no smoke detector in the rooms and there was no fire extinguisher/fire blanket. And there was no bin in the bathroom for female sanatory products.

Hosts were most helpful, polite, knowledgeable, hospitable and available when needed over a 3-week period. Memorable experience, place was clean, neat, well serviced and maintained during my stay. Will book and return soon again

Place was not what i was expecting sheets had crumbs on the inside obviously not changed air conditioning was very had to get going then when It was it would stop. Overall look of the place was very run down along with the properties surrounding it would not recommend

Although everything appeared to be clean, found the stairs up to second floor not particularly safe. Bathroom toilet holder broken. No milk supplied and no cooking facilities. Outside presentation was very very unkempt and extremely shabby and alot of maintenance definitely required. I would not be staying there again and would not recommend anyone else to stay.

Just a couple of things were a little bit dirty. There was a little bit of soil, grass and a leaf on the floor and the cutlery and dishes needed to be rewashed before we could use them. The whole place could do with a refresh but for the cheap price it was fine. The person who checked me in was very nice, kind and patient. I was very tired and sad as my dog was in surgery getting an amputation so I was grateful that our host was really nice.

Motorway noise interrupted sleep, together with noisy tenants conversing until at least 1am. Parking was tight with scraping of mag wheels on concrete borders and other vehicles parked right up against my driver door. 10 point turning to exit the park this morning!

At the end of its life say just getting what money they can out of it. No smoke detectors or evacuation notice in room has court yard that is over grown and no furniture. Just run down and not cared for

The Ascot is pretty run down but adequate for a nights stay for a concert at Eden Park close by. The lady at the counter was lovely.

Excellent location. Train 5 min away. Walk to town 15 min. Room was spotless and beds very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Will probably look to stay there again soon.
