The Bonfire on the misty and cold evenings were welcome - the evening 5 PM TEA Tasting was a warm touch. Overall, very happy with our choice. 」

「This hotel is in a very beautiful spot with a multi level garden and incredible views of the hills around. The owners and staff were extremely kind and welcoming. We had coffee out under the arbor and breakfast was brought to our veranda. Would definitely stay here again.」

「Excellent service and very peaceful location, even though slightly steep last few 100 yards for the car. Nice view from the room and property in general. Staff and cook are very very polite. Rooms were clean and organized. Bathrooms were also clean, although slightly wet after they clean (hosts can perhaps look into this and ensure bathrooms are wiped after cleaning). This was only reason for for a 4-star rating on “rooms” (instead of 5-star rating).」

「Beautiful property snd rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It has all the modern amenities while retaining the old school charm of such an old building. We loved the wood burning fire place in the room as well. Breakfast was really good and staff at breakfast place was very friendly and courteous and service was top notch. Afternoon high tea was also amazing. Property has a beautiful courtyard and several charming cottages and suites. Highly recommend staying here for Ooty visit」

「Gateway is an older Taj property that reeks of old world charm. The cottages and gardens are expertly laid out and the service is attentive. My room was well appointed but old. Overall an excellent option in the Coonoor area.」

「It’s an excellent new hotel and well maintained property. Courteous staff and immaculate house keeping. Food at Buffet breakfast and dinner is quite extensive and tasty. I wish the property were renting scooters to go to city and sight seeing. Auto or cab is the only mode of transportation. Majority of the residents have their own car. I also recommend the management to start working on activity for hotel guests with corresponding transportation.」
