Check-in: Front doors don't work well, and don't expect any help from the staff in holding them open. Front desk staff are pretty "checked out" and essentially just staring into space as though they have been visiting the dispensary around the corner on a regular basis. Hotel: Elevator desperately needs to be modernized (very noisy, and often a long wait). Room itself was fine, but the thermostat simply said "error," there was no hot water from the sink (shower was okay), and the fridge wasn't at all cold. Things like hairdryer and iron were just haphazardly put away. Restaurant: "We don't have fruit, and we can't make these three dishes." No allergen menu. Staff were courteous but service overall was slow for a basic breakfast. Extremely noisy, with numerous people on facetime calls or children simply destroying things. Check-out: Front desk staff had completely disappeared. Still haven't received final folio in email after a week. Valet had car back relatively quickly. Overall: Not very modern, and feels more run-down than nostalgic.

I came in with children and booked because the pool was accessible until 8pm. We were kicked out by 7:50. Room was ok, very small with no microwave and they don’t have any on property (so when traveling with an infant you can’t hear up bottles)

Our room was on the 20th floor right behind the elevator. We had to hear the creaking of the elevator cables all night! We had to turn on white noise to drown out the sound of the elevator. Hardly slept a wink!

There was a long queue to check in, and only one person on the desk, so it took about an hour of standing around. The girl on the desk was very pleasant to talk to and very helpful. The room was very nice, and clean, and the view of the ocean very nice. However, the Wi-Fi network was very poor. I decided to stay an extra night and was able to stay in the same room; however, the cleaning staff removed all my things from the bathroom, and also threw away some papers relating to places that I’d visited, which was particularly upsetting as I’d been hoping to read them and keep them. Unfortunately, the other person who I spoke to on the front desk was quite abrupt, and not as nice to deal with as the first person that I met.

Between the 30 minute check in process, slow elevators, smelly and outdated rooms, never receiving extra towels, no towels in the pool area, brown water in the shower, staff lied about other available rooms, mini fridge made food cold 1 day and the next minute it was hot, keys deactivating often, extended wait time to get help from the front desk in person and over the phone,requested to speak with manager and she was not there and know one else stood in to say im the MOD or Supervisor just she is NOT here, just over all a crappy experience.

Went to enjoy a birthday weekend with my family. I rented two rooms and changed 20 mins after checking in because neither room had hot water and the phones didn’t work. The rooms we changed were better but the next night one room had a jacuzzi and the ceiling was leaking above from it. We were given the opportunity to change rooms again but we were leaving the next day. The only thing they offered to rectify was a discount on our stay which I still haven’t received. Overall I didn’t enjoy my stay. Two thumbs down!!!

The vintage hotel feel was cool. The room was small and felt like a motel. It was tough to share the bed with someone else because of the size. A great option if you are staying and want to visit the Boardwalk or the convention center. Being connected to the casino was also a plus. I would only consider staying again if the rate was cheaper.

Bad hotel. The locks for the room don’t open.( we had to get our key card replaced about 7 times in 2 days. The room are outdated and old. The elevator do not would safe they are rough and make a lot of noise. The shower water comes brown. The whole place smells moldy. I could see a lot of molds. The hotel is a historic building but it has not be kept clean. Sad to see such amazing buildings be destroyed

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The bathtub was clogged, and the toilet kept making loud noises with water constantly running. The entire facility had an unpleasant smell, like dirty rugs, which made it very uncomfortable. The elevators were dirty and poorly maintained, and the room itself was lacking basic amenities—there wasn’t even a microwave, only a fridge. Overall, this felt like a complete waste of my time and money. I would not recommend staying here.

Horrible customer base staying here. I mean absolutely no control over kids and noise. 12:30 morning kids yelling having full blown conversations right in hallways . Called front desk nothing done about it. They got rid of Starbucks so only place get coffee is restaurant on 6th floor and when we got there 45 min wait for place half empty. This once gem of Atlantic City has officially catered to lower class of people and they let them run wild. Get what you pay for. Pay the extra money stay at resort
