We were given only a partial ocean view room. The room smelled of marijuana when we walked in. The cleaning ladies came into our room multiple times without knocking or giving a heads up. Location was great with many amenities on property. When we tried to call the front desk before we checked in, no one picked up the phone multiple times and we were not able to connect.

Our stay was ok, definitely been to better kept hotels but it sufficed for the 1 night we needed. Hotel wasn’t as helpful as we would’ve liked with our request to have our 2 rooms either side by side or adjoining since we were traveling with children, but they at least changed us to bring in the same floor several rooms away. We did however have a very pleasant experience with one of the security staff members (I wish we had gotten his name!) that befriended our youngest. He was fun & personable.

The location of the hotel is great, the kids arcade and indoor waterpark were great! Great hotel in terms of activities for kids. The bourbon tower were we stayed is very outdated, the hallways looked rundown, the rooms just as outdated, the walls were dirty, our spring (yes spring) mattress was falling apart, the sheets were mediocre at best, they had a weird texture and felt dusty. The bathroom had no fan so taking a shower felt like a steam room and you could see the walls the ceiling just soaking wet, not sure how there's no visible mold growing. Overall amenities were great however I would stay at another hotel and walk for the use of said amenities.

They have activities for all ages. Lots to do. Multiple options for food. Staff are friendly. I would of gave full stars but the beds in the room were low and they didn't have a smart tv in the room so guest can't stream disney plus, espn, hulu, netflix etc.. Oh also they don't have wash clothes only towels and hand towels. It is also close in proximity to the carnival, hardrock cafe and other resturants

I had a wonderful time. Service was wonderful i came on a Friday for my daughter’s birthday and we had a wonderful time. We got tickets to the water park and had a ball the entire time. It wasn’t to pack, the water was want to cold the water slides was fun. The hotel was nice we stayed on the 14th floor and had the beach view. Room was nice and clean the tub drained slow but that is normally. 10/10 i can’t wait to return

The room was clean. That is really important to me. Sadly there's some things that need attention. The entrance were dirty and the rugs smell bad. Ice machine in the 12 floor don't work and a few of them were out service. The few ones working were empty most of the time. Really need to refreshing the whole hotel. Was nothing like the pictures. And for the price is not fair. They charge $25 parking per day, even if you staying. $75 from Friday to Sunday.

Valet and check in staff were very nice. I was able to get in my room before the 4:00 check in time. But this hotel is very, very outdated. You can tell by the scratches and missing paint on the room doors that they need to update this hotel. My room was spacious. BUT. it smelled VERY, VERY MUSTY!!! I don't know if it was the sofa or the piece of furniture that holds the refrigerator. Or maybe the rug in the hallway but my room smelled like something needs to be removed and be thoroughly cleaned! It's more of a kid friendly hotel. So be prepared for a lot of noise in the hallways all day and night. I've definitely had better hotel experiences.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall, we had a good experience and genuinely enjoyed our stay. The hotel is comfortable, and the renovated rooms are modern and very nice. Based on our overall experience, I would stay here again. There are a few areas that could definitely be improved. The hotel does not include many basic amenities—not even complimentary water—which is something guests should keep in mind. The ice machine on the 12th floor, where our rooms were located, was not working, so we had to go down to the 11th floor for ice. This was a minor inconvenience and did not make a major difference in our overall stay. We had connecting rooms, 1216 and 1218. Room 1218, the king room where my husband and I stayed, had a beautiful and spotless bathroom and was very comfortable. However, in room 1216, where my son was staying, the curtains appeared dirty and had what looked like mold or mildew stains. This was definitely concerning and something we did not like at all. Housekeeping or management should pay closer attention to details like this, especially in renovated rooms. The luggage assistance service also needs significant improvement. The process of having luggage picked up and delivered to the room was inefficient and did not meet our expectations. Valet parking and daily parking are extremely expensive. Additionally, the parking staff are very strict about collecting payment immediately when the vehicle is dropped off. Payment cannot simply be added or handled at checkout

Guess we got the older floor which had a horrible smell, only 2 pillows that were flat on the beds, there was dirt all over vents and the windows were so dirty couldn't see out it them. No one came to clean the room for 4 days while there and I tried contacting the front office and housekeeping and couldn't get in touch with them. We finally found someone in hallway and she gave us towels and rags. Another issue is the arcade is great but would take a lot of money without kids being able to plays the games and alot of broken games. Only 2 front desk staff working and lines were out the door, so I understand why they couldn't answer the phones. Trying to leave was horrible and waited 45 mins for elevator because someone's animals pooped in 2 of them and had to be shut down. I was also disappointed that my teens couldn't drive go karts which is a main reason we booked the hotel. Excellent location to boardwalk and the games that worked was good for kids.

I really didn’t mind this hotel, it’s right on the boardwalk with easy access to the beach. I was surprised at how many activities they had in the hotel. It was definitely outdated and not the most cleanly…stains on carpets and such. The room was pretty clean itself. The wifi is unbelievably slow to the point it’s unusable. My stay was 3 days and nobody came to clean, replace towels, or empty garbages during that time. Good hotel if you don’t plan on being in your room too much and are rather self sufficient. Also, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. $62 for two people for frozen food…that might have been the most disappointing part. Went down the street to Perry’s and had the best breakfast of my life for $20. Name is fitting, I felt like everything was for “show,” but it didn’t ruin my trip.

I've stayed here 2x just due to the water park being on the property. However, front desk person had an attitude during check-in (don't know why) i literally changed front desk person because I'm not dealing with it on MY vacation. Roons are dated and there's lots of fees added to my pre bought room, maybe resort fee per day. Overall i stay here due to proximity of kids activities but really thinking ill stay at either hotels next door to waterpark

⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) My experience at Showboat Atlantic City was disappointing overall. The hotel appears to be severely understaffed. I booked 6 rooms, but at check-in only 2 rooms were ready. We then had to wait an additional 3 hours for the remaining 4 rooms to become available, which was extremely frustrating, especially for a large group. The check-in process itself took a very long time due to the lack of staff. Another major issue was the hotel Wi-Fi. It was so slow that my cellular data connection was consistently faster than the hotel’s internet service. I will say that the rooms themselves were clean, which I appreciated. However, many areas of the hotel had a strong smoke smell, which made the overall environment less enjoyable. One positive experience worth mentioning was when I accidentally lost my glasses in the lazy river at the waterpark. The staff members were very kind and went out of their way to help me retrieve them, and I was very grateful for their assistance. Overall, while the hotel has a great location and fun attractions, the understaffing, delayed room availability, slow Wi-Fi, and smoke odor throughout the property made this a disappointing stay. I hope management addresses these issues because the hotel has a lot of potential.
