We loved our stay at the Social Athens! The staff in particular were outstanding, they were super helpful and friendly. One thing we loved is that the rooms were cleaned in the afternoon so no one wakes you up early! The hotel was clean, the breakfast was really nice and the restaurant at the hotel had great food and service. It was a short walk to Syntagma square which was great for the metro and it is in a very safe area. Would highly recommend!

MY room was very quiet. THE Social Athens is also great walking distance to the Parliament, the Museum, shopping and dining! However, very small lobby.

Pros Location is excellent, easy to walk to the main sites Bed is very comfortable, if you’re here for a couple of nights perfect hotel to stay in. Staff are very friendly and always ready to help you. Breakfast is excellent Cons Pillows could be softer (feather) Request more towels for the floor, shower spills due to floor being flat and water no curve to drainage Breakfast is missing was fresh sliced fruit.

We stayed at The Social Athens for our family trip. Our rooms were ready early when we arrived. Our rooms were very clean, modern and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with many options available. It was a short walk to Plaka and the other sites from our hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel.

One of my favorites!

Whenever I am in Athens on a work trip, this is my go to hotel. It is in a great location, the condition of the hotel is wonderful, and the staff are amazing. I wish I could give them all a special shout out, but the names I remember are Carolina, Janina, and Ilias. Thank you for everything.

Sparkling Athens hotel

Beautifully renovated boutique hotel with wonderful desk personnel and clean minimalistic decoration. Right in heart of a chique district in Athens on a remarkably quiet corner. Our room had a nice mini balcony with view over rooftops. A pleasure to stay there--lots of mirrors and a playfully decorated elevator.

Small boutique hotel about 24 rooms . Staff is amazing . Clean , location is walkable to every historical site about 15 min . No need to rent a car taxi everywhere or use Uber app . Safe location. Rooms are great not big but top floors have nice balconies. Great restaurants everywhere within walking distance, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Prada and luxury stores 2 blocks down . Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service. Everyone speaks English.

Distinctly Appropriate in Kolonaki

I wanted to stay in a hotel in Kolonaki in Athens. Through my search on Hotels.com came across a distinct and appropriately modern hotel in The Social Athens. Really fantastic. Everything a modern, authentic, boutique should be without being over the top. People at the hotel were very accommodating and personal. Happy to help me out with any questions I had. Loved being there.

Hotel is a boutique hotel had about 24 total rooms staff is extremely attentive and helpful. Top floors have beautiful large balconies. Rooms 602 and 603 are the best top floors with views . Sometimes you can hear steer noise but very little most of the time during there work hours and it’s not bothersome. Rooms are spotless, they are not big but in one of the best neighborhoods and a 15 minute walk to all the historical sites. No need to take taxi . Lots of restaurants around and there open late . Louis Vuitton and Prada and luxury stores 2 blocks down the street. Amazing location. Hotel is small but cozy clean charming and staff is really helpful. No need for rent a car . Taxi every where .

Great welcoming staff!!! Checked in Saturday late afternoon- got to our rm for 2nights on 3rd fl. But, come Monday morning, construction on ground fl. We were awakened by the noise at 8am. The day after we walked 14,000 steps in 95F temp. Thankfully I needed a 3rd night and I prebooked the Penthouse that was absolutely amazing! And yes, far from the noise, it’s on the 8th Fl. The view from the wrap around terrace was great! 3 stars in part because: They were renovating the restaurant and we were not told abt it when we booked, so for the buffet breakfast that was part of the pkg,day 1 was good, 2&3, we were given a voucher and we had to walk 3 blks to the restaurant. It was not buffet style- The restaurant gave us a set, and it was the exact same set for the next two days, that was the problem with it. There was no menu to pick one item for each category. Like pick, tea or coffee, bagel or muffin, yogurt or another flavor yogurt, green salad or fruit. I’m a bagel and butter person, I would have been happy with that and coffee but for me to have no choice and eat the same exact breakfast, that was not pleasant. We’re visiting so we kept quiet about it then, now they know. Staff, rooms, cleanliness, location, 5 stars!
