A lovely hotel and great staff and location, restaurant on the top floor was delicious and had an amazing view of the Acropolis. Hotel was a lot smaller than expected and the road outside was very noisy.
My stay at Anthology of Athens, was truly exceptional, with a perfect location, amazing view from our room.
From the moment we arrived, the sense of refined elegance, warm hospitality, and attention to detail was evident. The hotel blends contemporary luxury with Athenian character beautifully, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and welcoming.
The rooms are impeccably designed, offering comfort, tranquility, and thoughtful amenities. Service was consistently attentive, genuine, and professional, the kind of hospitality that makes a guest feel truly valued rather than simply accommodated.
A special mention to the team for their discretion, grace, and impeccable standards throughout my stay. Anthology of Athens represents exactly what modern luxury hospitality should be.
Lovely view of the temple of zeus
Well positioned to all the sites throughout Athens that we wanted to visit
We found all the staff we engaged with very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Local reviews were given and recommendations on food options and we loved that too!
Great modern and clean facilities - we will definitely stay here again when we return to Athens
Pool was small, not much room…
But breakfast was good and the view tough to match

The breakfast at The Botany is truly exceptional—easily better than most cafés and on par with, if not superior to, many comparable hotels I’ve stayed at. The quality, variety, and execution were outstanding, and it’s clear there’s an exemplary chef behind it. It honestly goes beyond words.
Room service was reasonable. One small improvement would be the replenishment of basic amenities such as bottled water, body cream and toothpaste during housekeeping, without needing to request them.
That said, the experience overall was still exceptional, largely because the breakfast alone set a remarkably high standard.
Perfect location. Beautiful, spacious and elegant rooms. Loved the decor and the boutique atmosphere- very friendly, extremely attentive staff who go the extra mile for their guests. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with many options. Would definitely go back.
Oh my gosh! I have never been so sad to leave a hotel before. My husband and I travel extensively, and our stay at Anthology of Athens FAR SURPASSED any property we've stayed at before. The staff -- at every level -- is incredible. They all go way above and way beyond. Whatever management is doing at the hiring level, they are doing it right. The culture is one of pride and hospitality, and no corner is cut. The restaurant -- The Botany -- was our favourite in all the Plaka region. Amazing views of the Acropolis and The Temple of Zeus as well. We will FOR SURE be back. Fantastic room -- well equipped, and best location.
Overall, Anthology of Athens, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, has a wonderful hospitality staff. The hotel is close to Athens’ main attraction, the Acropolis, and there are plenty of shops nearby.
A special thank you to Irene and her manager, Eleni. They went above and beyond to celebrate my birthday and created a wonderful dinner experience, which was on the house. I can’t thank them enough!
Thank you to all the staff at Botany Restaurant as well. The place is also eco-friendly. I highly recommend it!
Thank you, everyone!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect, from the location to the amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with a smile. The location was ideal—close to everything I wanted to explore, making it easy to get around. And the breakfast was fantastic! A great variety of fresh options that made my mornings so much better. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
The service was wonderful
My room was very small. The bathroom mirror for makeup was cracked in many places.
My shower in the morning was a cold water only
The wine in the mini bar had turned to vinegar
I could not figure out how to use the lighting system and I’m usually OK with complicated systems
The traffic policeman outside my window started whistling his whistle at 6:30 AM nonstop
My room was clean. The bed was very comfortable.
I have to compliment Eirini for her outstanding service. From our arrival at the port where there was a small hiccup with our transportation to the hotel, which she dealt with perfectly, to our arrival at the hotel and check in, to being generally kind and courteous and making our very short stay so enjoyable. Kudos also to the lovely staff in the roof restaurant, both dinner and breakfast the next morning. Superb service, obviously you take a great deal of care with your training. A great credit to a great hotel.
Very nice hotel, looks out of place where it it is. Very clean and helpful polite staff. The pool wasn’t cleaned so didn’t use it but it’s more of a splash pool rather than a pool to sit around. Could have used the space for something else.
Breakfast wasn’t fantastic and the service for the breakfast was very slow.
Nice touch with a bottle of wine when we arrived to the room. Bit mixed up review as you can see they are trying but needs a little attention to detail.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Minor negative aspects first: The hotel is right next to a busy six lane road, which separates it from the Zeus temple area, which our balcony faced. While you cannot blame the hotel for the traffic, and the view from the room is great, sitting on the balcony was quite loud at all times. Second, the bottom part of the vertical cover of the sliding door in our room was bent open; a nasty spot to hurt ones toes. The fitness area and pool are rather small, so do not expect too much. The good aspects: The building is situated in a great location to explore central Athens and its major sights on foot. The hotel is modern and stylish, well-managed, and the staff very, very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is served on the nice rooftop garden (with wind and sun cover, if needed). The selection of food, both on the small buffet as well as al la carte, was diverse and delicous. We also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant on one evening. The appetizers and mains were top-notch in both presentation and taste. We did not try the dessert, but we are certain it would have been just as excellent. Overall, we greatly recommend this hotel for an upscale stay in Athens.
property is new and clean. The problem is that it is on an extremely noisy street, and in November they have not yet switched to heating, so there was no possible ventilation in the room without opening our window. We did that while we were not in the room, but that was impossible at night because we would never be able to sleep with the noise from the street. (The windows when closed do an excellent job of keeping the noise out.) the two nights we stayed there were extremely stuffy and warm, and there was no way for them to address that problem. problem.
This hotel was fun, quaint, accessible to the main historical sites. Breakfast was very good on the rooftop. I would NOT eat dinner at the hotel. The manager will be charming and friendly to make a reservation for you but don’t bite (pun). It was a disaster. The restaurant manager even lied about why the food was uncooked. There are hundreds of good choices for dinner within a 5 minute walk.
