Really enjoyed, Leo was incredibly helpful. Central, quiet and convenient. The only negative was there is no place to sit other than the bed or 2 dining room chairs. Really needs a small sofa or armchair.
This sweet is just upstairs from the restaurant. It has three rooms & two toilets, & was perfect for our family...with two tall teenagers. The air conditioning is ice cold, the bathroom is luxurious, the place is quiet & the location is in walking distance to tons of restaurants & shopping.
So wonderful, comfy, safe, quiet and clean. We loved our beautiful nighttime escape from the busy city! And the restaurant food was fabulous and such a highlight!
Property is 5min walk from syntagma metro. You can use that line to go to the airport and the acropolis (or walk 15min instead). Plaka and monastiraki areas are 10-15min walk away through the paved, narrow, traditional paths. The room is spotless. Although very oddly designed with the bathroom and the actual bedroom being almost the same size and a small hallway connecting the 2. The only thing i would suggest are coffee/tea making facilities. It's a room next to a restaurant with the same name and having no breakfast options on offer, a drink in the mornings before setting off for the day would be welcome. So if you're there to visit the monuments and old Athens this is perfect for you. If you're after a full serviced, "get spoiled" kind of package this is not for you.
The suite was very nice and spacious. The bathroom was huge, which our party of four appreciated! It was easy to check in and check out. The host was responsive via email, but there is no one on-site to help with issues or requests. Restaurant employees arrive at around 1130 and can help with minor requests. The beds did not have blankets, only sheets. The person who knew where the sheets were was not available so they were only able to give extra top sheets. There wasn’t enough toilet paper provided so we needed to wait until someone was there to get extra. We needed additional towels because we needed to use ours to mop up an overflow, and we had to wait until someone was there.

Disliked: Amenities
The property was in a great position and the staff very friendly and accomodating when prompted. I found the apartment tired and depressing and don't think I would return. No coffee or tea facilities available. The hand soap dispenser was empty and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were not charged from the previous quests as some of the bottles were half empty. The conditioner in the bottles was so thick it could not be used as it wouldn't come out.
PROS: Cute place, clean, great location
CONS: As others have said, the rooms are really managed by the restaurant staff. We had difficulty getting in (wasn’t sure where entry was, had to wait beyond the agreed upon time), didn’t really have a clear point of contact throughout stay
- Master bedroom was warm, the AC worked but wouldn’t bring the temp down. It was uncomfortable but we were able to sleep.
- There is a hallway with an unlocked door that leads to the entrance to the kitchen and the upstairs bedroom - they don’t provide you a key unless requested - if you don’t have that key, you’d have to leave the upstairs bedroom unlocked (where our kids were staying) which we were not comfortable with or lock them in, again not a safe option if they are unable to get out for any reason. (If you get the key, it’s no longer an issue)
- It’s very small so for a family of 4, we were on top of each other. There isn’t a living area and we kept our luggage on the kitchen floor for space.
- Shower upstairs is not ideal for anyone over 5’ tall (maybe less) and the knobs/temps were very tricky. We all just showered downstairs
- Both bathrooms had almost zero counter space. Very difficult to get ready, especially for women, as your stuff was constantly falling off.
This is an amazing Hotel and amazing location. The Management was super helpful. I strongly recommend this place. You will be staying in a Posh and clean room within walking distance of all main attractions.
I’m not really sure why this property rates so high. First of the all, the property is primarily run by the staff of the restaurant. Any additional amenities that maybe need to be escalated up to the owners and then fulfilled. Housekeeping does not occur unless you pay for it. Even the coffee machine in the lobby does not work. The only thing this place has going for it is the location; prime in the center of Athens
To be honest at first we were a bit concerned. We arrived in a Sunday afternoon at 2pm and there was no one there to even talk to.
We had communicated with the manager a few weeks before our trip and everything seemed to be in order. But we did not receive any instructions on how to check in. Since this was an AirBNB type listing, we were expecting some instruction or someone to meet us at the property.
The apartment is connected to a restaurant on a nice quiet street in a relatively safe neighborhood. But the day we arrived was Sunday and the restaurant was closed and we had no idea how to get in.
I messaged the host and he soon sent me instructions on how to retrieve the keys and access the apartment.
That first night was bit unsettling as there were no neighbors and we felt very alone and exposed in a sense.
The apartment itself was fully as advertised. Two separate bedrooms each with a king bed, and a living room area with two additional twin sofa beds.
There is only one bathroom and shower but it was spacious and easy to use with nice amenities.
The host had left us with tons of nice bottles of soap and shampoo to make sure we never ran out.
The towels were Lucious and soft and there were house slipper for us to use.
The TVs never worked even for local channels so that was a bummer. But the location was fantastic as we took several day trips to islands and loved coming back home each night. Right in the heart of Placa and all the amazing shops and history sites.
My wife and I were traveling with our three young boys (ages 10, 7, and 2) to Europe this summer, and we were planning to stay in Athens for two nights both at the beginning and end of our trip. This was our first trip overseas with our boys, and we were looking to find a place to stay that had a bit more room to spread out than your typical hotel room. We booked the suite at 2Mazi through Expedia, and we could not have been more delighted with our experience. First, the location was ideal - a five minute walk to many of the highlights of Athens, including the Acropolis (and its museum), shopping and dining in the Plaka area, the Temple of Zeus, and the Panathenaic stadium. The entire area of the Plaka is very walkable, and has many dining and shopping options. Second, the suite itself is gorgeous, and is even bigger than the pictures suggest. With two large bedrooms, a sitting area, and an oversized bathroom, our family had more than enough room. The property looked recently renovated, with impeccable finishings and modern fixtures. The bathroom, in particular, was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. Third, the service was exceptional. Rania, Leo, Vasilli, and the owner himself all went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. They even procured a pack-and-play for our 2-year-old to sleep in! Finally, if you stay here you must have dinner one night at the 2Mazi restaurant next door - their Greek salad is the best in Athens.

The 2Maze is centrally located in a quite side street. It has a nice charming entrance and It has been nicely decorated. Very inspiring bathroom. Extremely flexible and friendly staff
Leo who works in the restaurant that is part of 2Mazi, took good care of us. He made sure that we were all settled in and then brought us fresh lemonades and dessert as a welcome. Very nice guy. 2Mazi Suites is located right in the middle of Athens and we could easily walk to restaurants and subways and shops. Definitely recommended.
Great location and friendly staff. Solid construction and tastefully decorated. WiFi and TV service need upgrading. Need coffee service in the room. All said - I would book there again.
Stayed 2 nights at 2 Mazi suites. It is a new aparthotel in the area, great location and amazing experience. Room was very clean and true to photos, and the bed extremely comfortable. Staff was very friendly and offered complimentary drinks on our arrival. Would stay here again when in Athens.
