"Finding affordable, comfortable lodging in Aspen can be a challenge, but the St. Moritz Lodge is a absolute gem. It has a charming European chalet vibe, a peaceful location tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near the base of Shadow Mountain, and is still just an easy, short walk to downtown. It's worth noting that the rooms do not have central air conditioning, but thanks to Aspen’s cool mountain climate—especially in the mornings and evenings—it wasn't missed at all. Opening the windows let in crisp, fresh mountain air, which felt much nicer than standard AC anyway.The staff was welcoming, and extra touches like complimentary breakfast, afternoon wine and cookies, and the outdoor pool/hot tub made the stay feel special. If you want authentic mountain-town hospitality without the luxury-resort price tag, I highly recommend staying here!"
