"We weren't advised there was a pool, so we didn't get to use it. Staff were all lovely, especially receptionist who booked us in.
But the second lift being out of order meant we had to wait for the lift when checking out.
There was a chair in our room [118] that needed joints gluing and could have collapsed, and somewhere in the bathroom is leaking damp, resulting in a few harmless fruit flies and damagedbath panel and skirting. "
Leonardo Hotel and Conference Venue Hinckley Island
6/10 Okay
"The carpet in the room was filthy - does it ever get vacuumed, let alone cleaned? Only one pillow per person and one roll of toilet roll for 3 people
for 2 nights! Restaurant and bars on site are very expensive and as the hotel is out, virtually on its own by a motorway junction, there aren’t really any other options. We only ate in the hotel once, the food was below average, overpriced and the service was ‘disinterestment’. The pool is run by a different company which means you need to book. At the time we booked we were not warned that it was being used for swimming lessons, which is fine, I would like everyone to learn to swim. But please let us know so we can book a quieter time for a more relaxing experience. Would I stay in the hotel again? Definitely not. This used to be a very high quality and well run hotel - what has happened to it? 🙁"
"Bathroom was poor with outdated bath and shower which was dangerous to use.
The group booking for 9 people did not seem to exist. Very poor internal communication.
The bedroom doors were not soft close and banged all night as people went to their rooms.
We were refused entry to the dining area at 7.00 pm as we hadn't booked never having being informed of such a procedure at reception.
Finally two days before we were due to arrive we were informed that our booking made on Jan 23rd nearly 2 months prior was cancelled due to overbooking!! After several phonecalls to the hotel we finally got our booking reinstated. What a stressful experience for an 82 year old alumni of the University attending our 63rd reunion (Rutherford Hall block 5 ,1963)

"Not bad hotel .room showing bit of sge as bit of black mould in grout on bathroom . Had good which was good apart from hair in pizza .but as compensation gave us a couple pf free drinks .all staff were lovely"
"Hotel was lovely and the beds were comfortable. Really pleasant staff and would recommend the hotel. However wasn’t a fan of 5 WhatsApp messages plus Expedia messages from them think it was a bit too much. Apart from that everything else was great "
