"Booked hotel through expedia. On arrival they informed us of double booking and there is no rooms available to accommodate. Hotel staff where not helpful to resolve the problem. Since location is more then an hour away from the city. The closest hotel was an hour away."

"Mutrah central location is great for the touristic activities. For the remote Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the reception was helpful in arranging a taxi. As the other review wrote, basement bar noise continued around 4 a.m. though I was on the 4th floor and the noise might have been bearable somehow. The reception seemed not familiar to the Expedia pre-payment arrangement. So, you may be better to have your Expedia booking confirmation handy. Hot shower needed more than 5 minutes to come out.
