Staff were amazing, had a fab garden suite, so much room it was a delight. Was disappointed the outdoor pool was not in use anymore as that's advertised on Expedia and it was late July, the indoor pool facilities is somewhat tired too, would have enjoyed relaxing around the pool and reading my book, but overall, very good, food was also very good.

Room was very dirty. Pillows had stains on them. The carpet had stains and the walls were peeling and had stains. The silicon around the sink and shower was dirty and had mildew. Dead flies on the window sills. Drawer inside the bathroom was laying on the floor. Rising damp on the bathroom ceiling and the bathroom fan was dusty. Grotty room overall. Breakfast was nice and the staff were nice and friendly.

Requested accessible room - it was so far from the main part of the hotel we needed to drive and use a fire exit. In the bathroom the shower seat was rusted and broken, bathroom old, not maintained and dirty. The pillows stank and we needed to request new (which were equally as awful). Bedding cheap and musty. The part of the hotel we staid in is obviously mothballed for most of the year unless there is a big event nearby when they must open it and sell rooms. We were there for Goodwood which is close by. Breakfast was not worth the money. Perhaps rooms in the main part of the hotel are ok but I would actively advise not to stay at this hotel. We did complain about most of these items and have taken the GMs details and will be contacting directly following check out

The hotel is ok, we had a twin room in the cottage lodge, no 526, it was quite a walk from reception. Most of the staff were helpful and cheerful. The hotel is looking somewhat dated, the room needed a good deep clean, shower head and bath mat needed replacing, I did write this to the manger in the initial check in review, as we were only staying 1 night it wasn’t worth complaining about. The car park needs re signing as cars didn’t know which way to go round!

First appearances are good. The location is great. But everything is a bit tired. The hotel needs money spending on decoration, maintenance and a few more staff. Dinner service was glacially slow and the food quality was adequate, at best.
