In Blomskog, a small town in the scenic and lake-rich western Värmland, lies this red house with white knots. You get welcomed by the roofed entrance porch. The house is situated overlooking a field, meadow, forest. Nearby are scenic promenades. There is a lush garden with bushes, trees and open lawn areas for play and socializing. In this area with many lakes and ponds there are good opportunities for swimming and fishing. By the owner you can rent both boat and canoe. An example of one of the lakes is Västra Silen, a well-known sports fishing water. The lake has a good stock of mainly perch and pike. The chance to get salmon and trout is also good if you target your fishing thereafter. Fishing license required. With the canoe you can smoothly slide along the beach. It's an unbeatable way to experience the Värmland nature, sitting in the canoe and feeling the scent of coniferous forests and possibly listening to the euphoric bird quake rising from the foliage. If you wish to leave, you only have 40 km to the Norwegian border with large shopping centers. Approx. 15 km to the center of Årjäng with shops, cafes, restaurants, trotting track with museum. The third weekend in September is the affluent Årjäng market, one of Sweden's largest and oldest markets.
