Hotel Castillo de Monda

6/10 Okay

"The service was slow. Not the standard I would’ve expected at this Hotel as I have stated here before. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed. The room was lovely, but there is no full length mirror… The room service food was appalling and when I complained about this in the morning, I’ve got a very frosty response from the receptionist even though they did cancel it off the bill I was made to feel. I shouldn’t be complaining. I’m not sure that I would stay here again as it is a beautiful hotel, but they really do need to update a game with their customer service and the soundproofing of the rooms is really bad."

10/10 Excellent

"Nice hotel, ideally situated in the heart of the old town. Communication with the hotel was good before arriving. Very convenient as well with parking (for a fee), but they helped parking the car as it was very narrow. The room we had was spacious, but it was a bit noisy as it was facing a street with many restaurants. Except that, I have nothing to complain."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for local sightseeing and places to eat. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The settings in a beautiful valley was very quiet and relaxing. Tip: don't take dirt road from main road that Google maps recommends. Rough road! Keep driving past the turn to new route that will start with asphalt road when you turn off of the main road. This road turns into much easier dirt road."
