"waited 10 minutes for reception person to arrive
then we are told that we have to pay 10 pounds to keep car at the hotel
then told the elevator was broken - hard to carry everything to 2nd (3rd for USA) floor. broken all the time
the room was tiny and the shower hard to manipulate. it was quiet
renovation all over - noise and stuff all over
breakfast was good"

"We stayed one night in Oban in our way from Inverness to Glasgow. A bit of a detour, but worth it. We booked last minute. The hotel has a superb view of the bay. Unfortunately we timed it with a large group of tourists staying there, and this seemed to have overwhelmed the staff a bit. We couldn't park in the hotel, and parked in the street overnight. That was ok. The staff accommodated that we could have breakfast earlier than the booked time. It was ok for one night stop, but maybe not more. Under different circumstances had the hotel not been busy with large group of tourists, I am sure the experience would have been much better."

"Great location to the ferry - very dog friendly - staff very helpful - spa facilities excellent - food good - could provide a separate table from restaurant for those with dogs - eating breakfast and evening meal sitting on a sofa not very comfortable.
We stayed at Kingsmill Hotel Inverness and they provided a table away from restaurant and bar - so much more comfortable eating at a table rather than being crunched up on a low sofa or chairs."

"Room was comfortable even though I had the compact room. Totally adequate. .Toilet rim was a little dirty but likely a small miss by cleaning staff. Small shower stall but great shower! Very convenient location. Had parking which is a great feature given its very central location. Great bar too. Would stay again."
