  • Nice, long hike today. Went down the Bridge Creek Trail, and then to Maple Falls. About an 8-mile total hike. Redwoods everywhere you look, and a deep dark forest that gave lots of 'mood'. We came across a tiny snake! It was just a few inches long, red back, sunning itself on a rock in the middle of the creek.

Cute spot in a convenient location. The bar and grill are pretty locally liked. Only downside was how thin the walls are so you could hear people above walking around or the conversations in the hallway very clear.

The hotel was clean, had pretty grounds and had parking spaces in front of the rooms. There is no elevator and even though we are seniors, the front desk did not ask if we needed a first floor room. We did not eat at the restaurant, but a friend also staying there said it was good. Biggest complaint was how loud the air and heat system was, and the walls were thin.

The room was nice and the staff was very helpful. It was a basic room but I did like that it had Netflix and HBO attached. Charging 5 dollars for a water bottle is a bit much though. I would have given 5 stars if they had a fitness center
