4/10 Poor

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious and relatively clean, so there are definitely some positives. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again because of the noise. The walls are very thin, and the door locking system is incredibly loud. Every time someone entered or left their room, the doors slammed shut with a bang. From around 7 to 10 every morning there was a constant stream of slamming doors, making it impossible to relax. It even woke me up during the night, and I’m normally a very deep sleeper. If you’re a light sleeper or hoping for a peaceful stay, this is something to be aware of. It’s a shame, as with better soundproofing and a quieter door system, this could have been a much more enjoyable hotel.

Nice hotel, and good food. However my room if the second floor had a bad wifi connection. The reception allowed me to change room which was a good service as I already had taken shower etc. Morning breakfast I had a bad experience. One piece of melon had mold on the rind, and I also felt that the lady who was taking care of the breakfast service was somewhat grumpy and seemed rather dissatisfied. But still I will highly recommend this hotel even with my few notice.

great people

the hostess is a wonderful lady, we arrived late at night after the dead line for checking in and she waited for us patiently with a smile and welcoming drinks, as if we are family members that we haven't met in a long time. and the breakfast is a very generous breakfast and all is fresh.

The Hotel Klokkenhof is a family-oriented, quiet, and well-designed property located about 20 minutes from the Netherlands border. The staff and the hotel owner were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was authentically charming. The backyard is a lovely space where you can spend quality time with your children. The only drawback was the presence of a number of horseflies on the property. However, aside from that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely.

Older building, but well kept by a couple / owners who went out of their way to make things great for us. The restaurant was very good, with childrens' meals that were fantastic and fun. The rooms were very comfortable. The only negative comment is that the floors creaked because they were old wood, but we actually didn't mind, because it was real wooden floors. The place was great!
