I would like a better light for nighttime reading and a bigger television(visual impairment) My 3rd time staying here while visiting the D and G hospital and I would happily stay here again."

"The hotel is a lovely wee quirky hotel. The room was surprisingly large considering how narrow the hotel is! The bed was really comfortable. The Scottish breakfast was cooked to order, tasty and generous. Staff were lovely. Only thing to bear in mind is that the restaurant & bar don’t stay open late, so plan accordingly in the evening. Other really convenient aspect is that street parking is free."

"The Hill Hotel is located in a quiet location, but is only a 10-15 minute walk into the center of Dumfries. The building interior has been lovingly restored, and is very clean. The owners are very friendly and gave us lots of great advice about places to visit in the surrounding areas. A very good breakfast too! Highly recommended."
