"The reviews online rave about the very nice rooms. The reviews and hotel info do not make clear that arriving with a car is very difficult logistically. The hotel boat is moored where there is only a pedestrian footpath. There is no where close by to drop the bags for easy access, many meters from where cars are allowed. There are no actual staff at the location, only virtual staff who cannot help with the luggage drop or movement. You get parking recommendations only after the cancel window...

"The concept is novel and well executed. We were staying as part of a cycling tour down the Via Rhona, for which the location is perfect, with bespoke secure bike storage. The town is beautiful with lots of great restaurants, but I suggest you book ahead of time as they all get busy. The one big challenge we had was checking in. "19/08/25: nous pensions réserver une chambre dans la belle demeure montrée sur les photos, nous avons finalement dormi dans une annexe donnant sur rue, sans aucun charme. Nous pensions pouvoir dîner au restaurant de l’hôtel, il était fermé en pleine saison. Le petit déjeuner constitué en partie des restes de la veille et de viennoiseries de l’avant veille n’a hélas pas remonté le niveau. Seules les poules en liberté dans le jardin nous ont fait sourire durant ce court séjour …"
