「A fantastic family run Guest House ideally situated for the Rock Fortress, Elephant Safari and Ancient Cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. All the family made us feel at home. Dinesh who runs the place arranged all our trips for us. Rooms are clean and comfortable and set in a tropical jungle like garden. Meals were lovely and plenty of variety. We highly recommend this Guest House and would love to go back one day. 」

「酒店的位置刚好位于狮子岩和皮杜兰加拉山之间的森林中 因为修路的缘故，傍晚过去费了一番周折。 不过因为是在森林中与世隔绝， 所以住处周围到处都是野生动物的影子 各种壁虎蜥蜴、还有飞舞的萤火虫 我们是在不绝于耳的虫鸣中入睡的。 第二天一早去了酒店后面的皮杜兰加拉山 山顶的风光奇美，360度的云蒸霞蔚。 简直达到叫人击节赞叹的地步。」

「A touch of paradise! The host and his family gave us the warmest welcome in the world. The room was spacious and spotless. Despite being in the forest, there wasn’t a single ant or mosquito in the room. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows. We had a lovely balcony overlooking lush greenery. Breakfast was served on the balcony every morning at our preferred time, and was undoubtedly the best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel around the world. 「Melrose villas is tucked away off the main road but still within walking distance / short tuk tuk ride away from village. Rooms are simple and it may take a while to find right temperature for the shower. But what really stands out is their great service, simple but freshly made meals and view of Sigiriya Rock in the distance. 」

「Staff was excellent. She made special vegetarian food for me. Lot of greenery. Room is ok not that great. Too many insects because of bushes and trees all around the property. Gieco running on the floor of the room. Had to go to the front desk every time for service. No phone/TV in the room. No light switch above the bed. Had to go to the front door to turn off lights and walk in the dark to the bed. Not convenient at all.」

「Nice place to stay, staff are friendly although there're language barrier. They changed my room as requested because first room smelled little mold. Balcony is ok, but little dirty with bird poops. Overall it's not too bad for the price paid. It's not located in Sigirya town, 2km+ to lion rock.」

「We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are quiet, located in a lovely garden setting set back from the main road. Our hosts were very helpful, arranging transportation to the World Heritage Sites and a local dance presentation. Hosts will prepare breakfasts and dinners. The dinners we ate there were excellent. Best food in the area. 」
