There are many homeless people in front of the hotel, and it feels unsafe to go out alone. Of course, the restaurants and shopping nearby are very convenient, which is the only advantage.

This is great for a one night stay where you need a bed and a shower and as long as those are your expectations then it’s fine. Overpriced but fine. Located a busy one way street, you hear the traffic all night long. It’s old and dated, the refresh seems to have been done in the public areas, the rooms are worn and it shows. The continental breakfast is very small, but appreciated, however it’s not open until 7:00. Do yourself a favor and walk over to the Kaladi Brothers in the ConocoPhillips atrium for coffee and then walk to Fire Island for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The door to the restroom was 24” wide. My mobility device is 26” wide. They assured me the room was fine for my device. The door to the room was fine, but not the bathroom. Anyone needing more than 24” to get through a doorway can not stay at this hotel unless you reserve a handicap room

I was worried about this property with some of the reviews, but found it to be more than adequate. The room was clean and spacious; but dated. The breakfast was good and plentiful, but mostly all carbs. They have a single cup coffee maker in room. The area around the hotel is very walkable with plenty of dining options.

Desk staff mostly indifferent. Never said hello when I came in. Much of the time they don’t answer the phone and I get a “voice mail full, cannot take messages”. Also tried messaging “live agent” and never got a response. Hotel is outdated and neglected.

Staff was not overly helpful…for example they offered $40 parking in front of hotel, but did not offer that they could not guarantee a parking spot…I only discovered that by asking the question… I would have paid $40 to NOT get a spot and then paid again at an adjacent offsite lot. I opted to pay less at the adjacent lot. Room was ok, dated…needs updating. Would look for an alternative place if I stayed in anchorage again. Would recommend the Marriott as an alternative…stayed there the night before and it was much nicer.

It was very noisy outside. Street racing going on the first part of the night and then a string police presence with sirens in the middle of the night. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest either.

We stayed here for a total of 2 nights on separate occasions. We went with the hotel mostly for location and price. Overall I'd say it's a bad value. This hotel is really quite rundown. Aside from the beds which seemed new the furniture was really banged up. Extremely bare bones ameneties. The exterior has a lot of chipping paint and cracks. The first room we got was fairly clean but had an extremely strong cleaner smell which really irritated our throats. The second room did not have the smell issue, but was way less clean. There was stuff left in the trashcan and hairs in the shower and one of the beds. All rooms seem to have noise issues. None of us got a good night's sleep at all. If you have to stay here, do it for a night and get on your way. Don't linger here. I won't rebook this hotel. Parking in their lot is $40 a day. The only pro is the walkable location but there are a lot of homeless camping nearby.

The hotel is old and with limited services . We asked the rooms to be cleaned everyday of our stay (3 nights) and it never happened . The parking is in a public parking lot just outside of the hotel but they charge you 40$! A lot of unhoused peoples. The noise of the street is outrageous ( like if your window was opened! ) Only plus : free breakfast pretty decent and nice staff during the day

Yellow toilets, moldy shower, cracking ceiling, air condition covered in dust, cleaned it but barely worked, didnt clean room, front desk workers rude, very old and needs updating. Do not stay here.

Pros: The room is big, the view is nice. The area is quiet, has a few dining options. Hotel let us deposit our luggages before check-in and check-out. We travel as a family of three..walkable distance to shops and cafes. Cons: The soap in the bathroom has a strange color, unsure about the quality of it. I brought my own soap. Would like to have a fridge in the room.

We made a reservation long in advance for two rooms for two adults and one child in each. When we arrived at 1am (the plane was late) there were 2 rooms with 1 king bed each. After several trips to the desk and walks around the hotel with a security guard, one rollaway bed was located. By 2am I demanded a pile of bedding and the other child slept on the floor. Then, there was no hotel parking available, so I had to park on the street 2 blocks away. At 8am I had to move our car off the street and into the the emptying available hotel parking lot to avoid a ticket. They actually tried to charge me $40 for parking in their lot "overnight." It was a frustrating and exhausting vacation start.
