I booked 2 rooms for my stay while traveling with my entire family. Before I got there for check-in they had given one of the rooms away because they over booked. We had to drive the rest of the way home through the night. Very dangerous for sleepy parents with children. How do you give up a room that is booked with children?

Amarillo 1 hotel

The hotel is not what is advertised. The place is 3/4 a dump needing a lot of work, a lot of work!!! I have never stayed in a place this bad. Luckily our rooms were on the side that was a little kept up.

This property was disgusting the ceiling was leaking heavily while it poured down rain the room smelled like cigarette and the lights and TV didn't work

Only one outlet in the entire room worked, so I had to choose between charging my devices or having any lamp on. I was told there would be continental breakfast, even confirmed by the night desk staff, but the next morning, I was told that wasn't being done anymore. I needed to refill my water bottle, but was told there were no water fountains, and no bottled water was available to guests, so I drank bathroom sink water.

Overbooked

My room was not available. They said they were overbooked by Hotels.com and that they “always do this”. Spent about an hour on the phone with Hotels.com. Rough to do in the middle of the night after 14 hours of driving, but they put me up in a nice hotel for no extra charge.

Two lamps didn't work- not enough lighting. Blinds did not work properly to close them for privacy. Had made the reservation & when we qrrived we were told that they had mo reservations left.

Mediocre with potential

The hotel site advertised a restaurant, bar, club, atrium, and pool. Most of which were closed permanently. The atrium fountain was not running. The room had many large scapes and scuffs on the wall. The hotel only provided three pillows and would not give us any more. It was an okay experience for the cost but did not live up to website description.

Set the reservation, easy got to the place easily checked in, got to my room Smelled like some one had just lid up a weed joint, i asked the front desk to change the room, she stayed it that they were completely booked, even though cleaning lady was cleaning other rooms, i told the front desk that i could wait for the other room to be cleaned. But she said just cancel the room, but on holtels.com reservations stated that i would not get my money back so i used the room for about 3hours and left. Oh she did give a spray that i could spray in there to get rid of the smell, that it didnt.

Nothing at all as expected

Apparently the switch owners so the staff left to work didn't care to work. Our room was not completely clean. There was trash still in out bathroom trash can from the previous guest. Condoms in between the mattresses and blood stain on one of our pillows. When I reported it to the front desk all they said was sorry we don't have access to the housekeeping and they took everything with them this is our last day as hotel 1 there is nothing we can do. The pool was closed as well for no valid reason.
