A small inn with just 5 rooms with personable and helpful English speaking staff. Located just outside the touristy area of town but within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. Note that hotel is not accessible by car but is an easy 10 minute walk through town. You can hire a porter at the town entrance if you don’t want to walk to hotel by foot. Note that once at the inn, you need go about 10-15 stairs before reaching the lift. Lovely view of the water from the breakfast dining area.

Excellent hotel, the staff were all friendly, the view from the terrace is 10 out of 10. Breakfast options were very good, and it’s nice being above the busyness of the city centre. Nice and peaceful in the evening. The beach in Amalfi was beautiful, great swimming. I drove from Sorrento to Amalfi, I wouldn’t do that. Next time I’d use a bus or car service. Again, a really nice hotel..cheers

Neat character with incredible views that you can take in from adorable terrace area. Room nice. Well worth the walk up from the waterfront and then elevator up to villa. Loved access to still water, sparking water and juice all day.

Amazing room with a view. The owner was so nice as were all the staff. Breakfast was incredible and it was towards the end of the cute street by the main Amalfi Pier. Easy to get to our yacht cruise we had booked. I would definitely one back and stay longer!!!

Our stay at the Villa Lara was glorious! From its beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms and majestic views, this hotel stunned and delighted us. Villa Lara hotel is a little hidden gem. It’s a few minutes walk to all the restaurants, ferries and buses. If you want your trip to the Amalfi coast to be special then definitely book a stay here. The hotel has a personal touch with great advice on where to visit and how to get there. Capri and Ravello were a family favourite! Tommaso, Valeria, Nello and Anna Maria make you feel like it’s a home away from home. The rooms were all cleaned beautifully every day. We stayed for 8 days and loved every single moment, We are a family of 4. 10/10 all the way.

Villa Lara is a quiet little place about 10 minutes from the bustling downtown area of Amalfi. It has a beautiful view of the coast and of the beautiful mountains. The outdoor patio is a perfect place to sit in the mornings to enjoy some peace and the quietness of the coast. The staff are very friendly and they make you feel like you are a part of their family.

Great location. Staff were extremely helpful. Elevator from the street level to the top level which is approximately four flights of stairs up broke down on the day we were leaving and the staff had to help us carry our luggage down the exterior old stairs.

Our room was lovely, and the service was impeccable. Tomas was extremely helpful in helping us figure out the bus schedule and he also recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The breakfast terrace was beautiful with an amazing view of Amalfi and the sea. We loved that the hotel was just far enough from the busy part of town so that it was quiet, but close enough to walk anywhere we needed to. We hope to be back in the future!

they have a nice terrace and a few rooms (we had no view in the rooftop room). parking was available from an external garage for 35 eur per night.
