Avon calling The silky smooth surface of the River Avon beckons.

Green lane to Alveston Sluice. Nowadays this green lane finishes at the River Avon by the sluice but in former times it would have been the access route to the ford which used to cross the river at this point. Judging by the fan of lanes and byways on converging on this crossing on both side of the river this must have been a crossing of some significance at one time.

Hotel is very tired, I was under the impression that I had booked a superior room however there was nothing superior about the room I stayed in, cracked toilet, cracked tiles just generally shabby.
