「Arriving by train had to ask how to get to hotel as having NO working handy coming from oversees . The access to hotel very steep and a challenge using a walker (rollator), however it was very nice of the receptionist/manager backing down a car to manage the steep hill, although there are 45 steps to use. Later on enjoying a beer/wine in the very quiet lobby using the rocking chairs. To explore Meissen, we used a taxi from hotel - called by staff - to the Dom and from there a sight seeing bus...

「Eine wunderschöne Pension mit Liebe zum Detail und sehr komfortablen Zimmern. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das unfassbar leckere und vielseitige Frühstück und die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeberin. Hier fühlt man sich ab Sekunde 1 wie zuhause. 」

「Er was geen restaurant zoals aangegeven, verder erg donker en geen gezellige sfeer. Schimmel in de douche aanwezig. 」

「Internet was very slow. Staff, not great. Nobody works during the night. Freezing cold rooms and when trying to put the heaters on, they don't work. You have to sleep with scarves and jackets on. Breakfast is terrible. Bathroom door is made of glass and the bathroom has a window towards the living room, with the blinds on the living room side of the glass. Personnel always makes sure that you know when they are closing or leaving. Pillows are terrible also, and bedding had a humid feel.」

「Ik vond de perfecte locatie. De lift in ouwe gebouw is aanwezig. De clokken bellen om 7 uur zijn zo hard klinkend dat je lekker ontbijt gaat zeker niet missen. De hotel is een aanrader.」

「Spectacular location and an absolutely charming hotel. Room was massive and breakfast was great. Top tip - if you want to eat dinner at their restaurant (and you do - delicious) make sure to book in advance. Also, if you're considering just doing a day trip to Meissen instead, don't. Stay at least two nights. This town is spectacular.」

「Sehr schöne Zimmer. Freundlicher Empfang. Sehr sauber! Frühstück wurde im Nebengebäude (Restaurant) angeboten und war völlig ausreichend. Kurzer Fußmarsch in die Altstadt, sehr schöner Weihnachtsmarkt. Wir waren für eine Nacht hier und können das Hôtel uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vielen Dank 」

「Die Betten waren frisch bezogen und sauber. Leider machte aber der Rest der Unterkunft eher einen heruntergekommenen Eindruck. Die Tapeten blättern von der Wand, die Fenster sind undicht und Verdunklungsrollos oder ähnliches gab es auch nicht. Der Preis war aber sehr günstig.」

「Clean, convenient, affordable and friendly. The breakfast was great. Lots of selection. The staff makes this hotel outstanding. So helpful. They consider all your needs and are attentive. The rooms are spacious and very nice. This is a great town and this place is highly recommended for your next trip」
