「The hotel is located on the edge of Stresa and near one of the ferry terminals. It would suit those who don't mind a 30 min walk in to the town centre. Our room was reasonably large but the bathroom was a bit odd with the shower head located in the middle of the wall making it difficult to use. We also had a strange experience intermittently with the sound of water rising down pipes, presumably when the toilets above were flushed. 「Hotel is nice enough and clean with good lake views and just a quick walk to the water. It is further away from the station, boats and most shops but the panoramic walk between is very nice. I booked this hotel specifically partly due to the mentioned airport shuttle for a surcharge listed on expedia which does not exist. They offered to call a taxi for €180 which is hardly a "surcharge". Also I was frustrated by the lack of coffee or kettle in room; there was a breakfast available but hours...

「Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Ebenso der See. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz verfügbar. Bitte Markttag beachten. Das Personal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend, mehrsprachig und hatte immer ein nettes Wort sowie ein Lächeln für die Gäste. Auch das Frühstücksbuffett hat uns gut gefallen. Top. Weiter so. 「Staff are excellent, extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful but there are one or two things that I would expect in a five star hotel namely - no mirror in the bedroom, no heating, the room was very chilly, the safe is far too small and the water wasn’t very hot. Nothing major was wrong but just a few niggles that shouldn’t have to be brought to the staff’s attention.」

「The staff was remarkable. We left some clothes behind in the hotel when we left and received an email informing us of this about 2 hours after leaving. By that time we were in Stresa and could not return to pick up the clothes until 2 days later.」
