I've stayed here 3 times and have always enjoyed it. It's in a beautiful Andalusian style courtyard building that was built in the 1960s, but feels like the 1560s. The terrace overlooking the sea is beautiful, and dinners in the restaurant are delicious. The owners, Antonio and Evelyn are very welcoming hosts!

Lovely and characterful small hotel

Lovely little hotel; the owners are extremely welcoming and very helpful. We had one of the biggest rooms which was attractively furnished and very comfortable; this room also had a large balcony which added to our enjoyment.

Absolute perfect.

Best hotel ever! Extremely friendly hosts. We felt very VIP. They sent message before our arrival and sent menu. Romantic beautiful table with stunning ocean view was waiting us. Good food made by the owner himself. Very cozy hotel. Like in a movie. Everything was no less than perfect

We were only there for an overnight stay. We checked in after hours and arranged with our host who stayed back and looked after us superbly. Room was excellent and breakfast the following day was very good on a lovely terrace with fabulous views.

Wonderful summer holiday experience

Absolutely fabulous we loved everything about this small very friendly hotel, owner Antonio is so helpful and wants your stay to be perfect, as with all the staff, it’s a short walk to the beach and into the centre where there’s lots of bars, restaurants , shops it’s not crowded and full of tourists it’s very much localised vibe, we loved it,

Beautiful boutique hotel

What a beautiful boutique hotel. Its such a treat to find hotels and staff like this. From the minute we met Antonio and his wife at check in we knew this hotel was special. They were so pleasant and helpful. We were just sorry we only stayed one night on our journey through Spain. but promise to return for a longer stay.

So pretty but there's stuff to work on.

Such a pretty and nice hotel and the staff is wonderful. The only thing I can complain about is that there was no natural light in my room, hence it was really dark in there. I've stayed at this hotel several times before and have never gotten a room like this. The floor in the shower was extremely slippery, if an older or injured person would shower there, they'd better watch out. Amazing breakfast but quite expensive since there was no buffet. The location outside of La Herradura but close to the bus stop is OK, I just think it is a shame the city still after all of these years hasn't made a sidewalk for people to get to the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service!! From the time of booking right up to our departure the service was outstanding! The room was quiet and cozy, as per the photos but far better in person! The breakfast was fresh and homemade and was absolutely delicious. I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy this hotel! One thing to note is that although it’s just a quick walk to the beach and restaurants, you do need to cross a busy road to access that route. No biggie, but something to be aware of if you’re on foot. I absolutely recommend this clean and beautifully decorated hotel!!!

Stayed for 2 nights at La Tartana. Very relaxing stay, pretty little hotel, beautiful terraces etc. Welcome change after staying in a large chain hotel. Close to beach and well-rated restaurants in town. Owner very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Definitely recommend.
