「The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.」

The biggest problem was that the pool is open until 10 PM and the shrieks of children playing was ALARMING and put us on edge. 「This was mine and my husband's first time in New Orleans to celebrate my birthday. The staff, the service and the room were exceptional. I honestly have to say this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The room was spotless and beautiful. I highly recommend staying here if you haven't already. We will definitely be back and this will be the only hotel we will stay at. Five stars all around!」

「The hotel was quintessential NOLA..small intimate full of character being an older space. The hotel being aged does not mean it has to smell awful. Since they have no air conditioning it was very damp and hot and smelled like mold and mildew. The rooms also only had a small window unit which did not really cool the room in the summer heat. The attached bar was also hot and smelled bad. Staff was very kind is the only good thing I can say about this hotel.」
