「Decent enough place for a short stay. Staff very friendly, and the room very clean. It was very hot when I stayed. Car parking is expensive - especially considering you can park on the road outside for free.」

「Friendly welcome. Characterful room with good quality tea tray. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not overly clean and the bathroom in particular was tired, run down and felt grubby. Black and dirty sealant around the outside of shower. Broken tiles on floor, broken loo roll holder, grubby and badly marked walls and thick dust/grime on skirting. With a deep clean and a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay.」

We truly enjoyed our stay and loved enjoying a non alcoholic draft beer in the garden overlooking the canal. Truly a beautiful place to unwind. We will be back!」

「We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in...

「I'm guessing the property was built in the late 70's, so looking a little dated in terms of decor, but very clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful, full English breakfast was of a good quality. Basement level standard twin room lacked air conditioning, (ground and 1st floor have aircon, I was informed by the receptionist on departure), but fan was more than adequate, which was essential as we were entering the heat-wave in early July 2026. Only downside was the hum from a generator room...

「Very poor experience. I have travelling 3 or 4 times every year for the past 20 years. Except the staff in the front desk and health club showed me welcoming. The waitresses in the restuant made sounds and faces behind me during the buffer breakfast. The waitress even did not know I could order and pay online during dinner. Are they trying to embarass the asian faces? Also smelly and stain in the guest room, no refigerator and safe, what kind of experience could not expected.」
