Our attic room was very disappointing; dark with only small windows from which you could see the roof opposite. There did not appear a cohesive fire escape plan in an old building with lots of twisty hallways and stairs. It was noisy in the evening until 1 am from the pub next door (which belonged to the hotel) and the karaoke night was excruciating! Breakfast was adequate. The hotel was centrally situated but I would not plan to stay there again.

While we were there the internet was down and that was challenging until we found internet at the visitor information and other restaurants. Also the shower handle was broken and that was difficult. We ate at their restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff were kind and apologetic about our two issues. I definitely would stay there again.

Out of season so no dinner availability and staff down to a minimum. BBC channels didn't work very well and the stairs are steep. However the room was spacious and those staff on duty were very friendly and helpful. We would use this hotel again.

The thing I liked about the staff, their attitude , I am 86 and I felt that nothing was too much for any of your staff to help me, I was so grateful for this, I certainly will recommend the hotel and certainly will stay with you again, happy Alderney Week !! Judith cove
