Butrint, a Unesco World Heritage site. Inhabited since prehistoric times, Butrint has been the site of a Greek colony (800 BC), a Roman city (44 BC) and a bishopric (5th centrury). Following a period of prosperity under Byzantine administration, then a brief occupation by the Venetians, the city was abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area. The archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city’s development and that entity is unique. Moreover the ruines are situated in a beautiful natural setting. The photo shows the famous baptistery, a major ruin from the 6th century and an ancient Roman monument adapted to the cultural needs of Christianity. Its floor has a an exceptional and well-preserved mosaic pavement, but usually it’s covered with sand (for protection). #Culture #LocalSecrets #History

Beach in Ksamil. Small town near Saranda, and very very close to Korfu. Right there i met a man from Kosovo, which has a wife from Kraków. Uncommonly you can talk with Kosovar in Polish :)
This little island is part of the Ksamil islands on the Albanian riviera. You can take a small boat from the mainland for about $4 roundtrip. You must arrange with the driver a pickup time. Albania is a beautiful country off the mainstream tourist map, and definitely worth a visit for the beautiful waters and cheap prices. Vi var nöjda med Nobbu hotel. Trevlig personal och bra läge. Vi fick en uppgradering av rum vilket vi uppskattade, mycket fin utsikt. Det tillagade på frukosten var något kallt och segt. Överlag nöjda och skulle kunna besöka igen.
