"We are from the United States and everything at this camp was great. The four hour tour in the truck of Wadi Rum was outstanding and particularly great was the Kamel tour we took at sunrise in the morning what a blessing. All five of us had our own camels and there were three baby camels along in our caravan and we just loved it. Food was also very good and the people were very friendly. The off road truck was a little rough but the views and off road ride was part of the wonderful experience. I also liked the private nature of the camp well into the park and not near modern roads."
"I have an overall positive feeling about this camp, but several issues kept me from giving it a higher score. I would rate it 3 stars.
The biggest problem was the air conditioning. When we checked in, the room was far too warm to stay in. It took a full 4 hours to cool down to a comfortable level. I was exhausted from the journey and wanted to rest and sleep upon arrival, but we couldn’t use the room and ended up waiting in the restaurant instead.
The check-in process was also quite frustrating. The receptionist couldn’t find our reservation and we had to spend a significant amount of time proving payment by showing our receipt. While the receptionist wasn’t very professional, the rest of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.
On the positive side, the location is absolutely stunning, the food was excellent, and most of the staff were wonderful. The room itself was modern and beautifully designed — we really loved it. They did offer us a free upgrade due to the check-in issues, but we declined because we wanted to keep the view.
One thing to note: the price felt quite high. At over 600 CAD per night, I found it significantly overpriced for what was provided.
Also worth knowing: You need to pay a 10 USD entrance fee per person to access Wadi Rum (20 USD for two). Upon arrival, you park your car in the designated area and a pickup truck from the camp will take you the rest of the way.
Despite the issues with the AC and check-in, the incredible location and beautiful roo"
"SCAMMERS, Watch out people, they are just gangs, in the middle of the desert, don’t make the fake pictures fool you, after I did my reservation with Expedia for a bubble, we found out it’s all fake, directions took us to a scary village in the middle of the desert, and when I contacted Expedia customer service all what they did issue a refund for me after 4 business days, I had to stay in the car with my family for 9 hours without a any farther assistance from Expedia, I’m switching to any company but not staying with Expedia anymore "
"The experience in Romantic Moment Rum is inexplicable as it seems like you're in another planet. As for the camp, Atef, the owner was incredibly accommodating and so easy to deal with. The food at the camp's kitchen could be better; it's mediocre, to say the least because Jordanian foods are generally savory. Lastly, (I hope they change this...) you'll have to pay extra for a bottle of water or a cup of coffee or juice on top of the 15 JD mediocre dinner. However, if you can look past the food issue, overall, it is an incredible camp - beautiful bubble tents, incredible location, and a very accommodating host. "
"Unforgettable stay in Wadi Rum thanks to Ahmed. He messaged on WhatsApp before arrival, greeted us warmly, and keeps the camp spotless, air conditioned and spacious. The desert tour timed for sunset was magical, and his stargazing experience was honestly one of the most incredible things I’ve ever done. Ahmed truly goes above and beyond... book with him and you’ll be in great hands!"
