"Elevator not working, grab and go breakfast was average, front office staff was working hard but charm and cheer , welcoming smile missing. Was talking in a foreign language while check-in, by default we expect two keys, surprised that I was asked for how many I want.

Parking, neat bathroom and clean room.
For one night stay I will take it, but clients coming with family will have difficulty staying here."
"The property is under renovation. Doors are difficult to enter room. The pool was down, beds are hard like plywood box, Sheets had hair on them, shower wasn’t clean. No sofa bed/couch as stated in room choice to accommodate number of people. No receipt given for deposit nor proof of stay. Cancelled room within 10 minutes of being there. Asked for refund, front desk clerk/manager gave run around with the third party trying to contact to confirm that I cancelled the room. I do not recommend. I was very disappointed."
"The staff is nice, stingy with the extra towels. Room was clean for the price, however toilet stopped flushing. Tv remote was broken had to go to the front desk for a new one. Ice machine and vending machine broken."

For those coming to Akron for Stan Hywet, Doubletree Fairlawn makes perfect sense as it is close.
I came for an event downtown but was happy to stay in Fairlawn and used Lyft downtown and back down Market Street.
Will stay here again next time I'm in town."
