The host ran down the driveway to welcome us and to help us park! He ran!! How unique is this? Both hosts helped us with our luggage. The home is a Victorian dream, with beautiful oak woodwork and sumptuous wallpaper. Amanda cooked full breakfasts for us, and had other extras available. Location is good for walking.

We had a great experience during our stay at VAAST Bed & Breakfast. It's a very charming bed and breakfast, with great rooms, excellent hosts and a nice pool. Spent a weekend with family that includes a toddler and an infant. They both had an amazing time as well. Will definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

My fiancé and I loved everything about it. Even though we only stayed for 1 night we felt welcomed and right at home. Amanda is very friendly and provides excellent hospitality. Breakfast was homemade (which was a plus) and there’s lots to do inside the property. We’ve never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before and we are glad we chose Vaast to be our first experience. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Definitely will be staying here again when we’re back in the area.

Charming, Welcoming, and Truly Memorable We absolutely loved our stay at VAAST Bed and Breakfast in Adamstown! The home is a beautifully preserved historic gem, full of character and stunning details that make it feel both elegant and cozy. Amanda and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming—they truly made us feel like part of the family. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with its own private bathroom. The water pressure was excellent, the sheets were incredibly soft, and everything felt clean and thoughtfully prepared. It’s clear a lot of care goes into every part of the experience. Breakfast was delicious and homemade, a perfect start to the day. Amanda’s cooking was just as comforting as the surroundings. We also enjoyed exploring the area—there are plenty of antique shops nearby, and the Green Dragon Market was a fun and unique stop. Our entire family had a wonderful time and would come back in a heartbeat. VAAST is a true gem and a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!

Loved everything, from the minute we walked in the host was so friendly, caring and hospitable. The exterior was beautiful. But the best part was the inside of the house, so gorgeous and clean and vintage! The home was such a VIBE! Will be coming back!

The building itself was so pretty! There were different artworks, cool amenities such as games, massage chairs, pool, jacuzzi tub, and the sweetest cat and dogs. The owner was so authentic, genuine, and had great communication. I'm already thinking about planning another stay there!

Beautiful home and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning and we were offered wine in the evening. The common areas are comfy and there are lots of games available. There are a few antique shops within walking distance.

2nd time around still a charm

If you want to feel at home without being home, this is the place. Amanda asked what time we would be arriving and the room was ready. Helped us to the room, explained the features of the house. You are staying with a real American family. There is a massage chair to die for, and you do not have to add quarters to make it work. Access to a living room with a large wide screen, last year we watched the NCAA semifinals with another couple. If you like people, children, great parents and dogs you have found a great place to enjoy the area.

The owners are very nice and accommodating. The house is beautiful with a wonderful charm. There’s lots to do inside the house outside of the room that’s been booked. I would stay here again. Everything was clean and functional, breakfast was made fresh with some packaged options.

A Bed and Breakfast That Feels Like Home

My husband and I spent the weekend at VAAST for a mini getaway. We have a small business in an antique store in New Jersey and we love to stay in the PA area to shop. We decided to go to Adamstown and wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast as they are cozier and add to the experience. I googled the area and VAAST came up. It sounded like a nice place and we decided to try it. If you love history and animals, this is the place for you. The building is full of beautiful stained glass and original features. The owners Amanda and Thomas are so friendly and accommodating....anything extra you need, just ask!! The room was nice and quiet, and it had a Keurig, which I loved!! There are plenty of activities for you to do if you choose to stay in...games, pool table, reading area.....We were on the 3rd floor and could smell the breakfast cooking each morning. If you are lucky, you may get to taste the gluten free blueberry muffins Amanda makes. They were absolutely delicious!! As were the other breakfast choices. I can't finish the review without mentioning the fur babies....Skye, Storm, Tsunami, and Tallahassee.....3 pups and 1 kitty. Such sweet fur babies!! I actually got to meet Tallahassee for a brief moment, but didn't have my phone to take a pic. Skye is a wonderful greeter. And Storm and Tsunami are still learning the ropes. I definitely recommend staying here when you are in the area. Thank you Amanda and Thomas!!! And thank you for your service Thomas!

For my first Bed & Breakfast, VAAST did not disappoint! I loved my room and the security of it. It was code access only. The breakfast was very simple and fresh. There were cooked items, fresh fruit, a number of different drinks. Parking was good and there are a lot of nice shops close by. Amanda was an amazing host! I definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.
