Yes it is an older hotel and the rebrand is still in progress. The price reflects this, we booked 2 rooms for just over £40 each for a night in August. The rooms were quiet and the beds were clean and comfortable. TV channels were a bit hit and miss - one only had BBC and the other the only access was via the apps ( I-player, netflix etc). It looks like it is an area set for redevelopment, house building programme across the road.

Nice room, clean on arrival. Housekeeping non-existent! The room didn't get cleaned. Bins overflowing with rubbish. Twice I had to take on the role of unpaid housekeeper and take bulging bags of rubbidh downstairs and dump it in tge bin in reception. I asked for the room to be cleaned. Apparently you have to ask, but no one told me that when I checked in! I had to ask them multiple times and only when I issued an ultimatum was the room finally cleaned! Also lift wasn't working so had to go up and down 3 flights of stairs

This is a place to stay in only if it is an emergency and there are no other options. It is a rundown hostel. The photos of it are all inaccurate. It is dirty and falling apart. We had two rooms for our party of five. The window in one of the rooms was literally falling off its frame. It was being held in place by the curtains in the room. Toilet amenities were falling apart if not already broken. Floors were dirty. Previous air conditioning systems( from previous owners) do not work and the only cooling system in each room was a standing fan which may or may not work. There are no sitting or business areas in the rooms(too small for that). Only stayed there because it was the only place that had rooms for us after we were caught up in the British Airlines Air traffic control fiasco of Sept 8.

If I could give this place a -20 I would. We walked out and they refuse to give the money back after telling us we could get it back. Please do not go here. It smells of pot and unsafe.

I booked the room for my colleague, she said, "the hotel is dodgy, quite dirty and a hostel with interesting characters, smells of weed and generally no safety… the breakfast was really bad and I was the only one there… it seems like it’s not a hotel that is actually used for tourism/business." She felt so unsafe that she left after the first night. I am writing to request a refund. Please advise.
