Decent hotel with friendly staff, room was tidy and everything in good condition. Minor thing was the bed (Matrass was quite hard). Good place to park our car and close to the city center ( you can walk).

Airco didn’t work and no fridge present. Despite the description at the website. Lukas of the reception was aware and had a great idea: go away, get a refund and find another hotel. At 20.00hr with wife and kid ! Sorry Lukas, fix the airco (it was 28C!) and get a spare fridge. You’re claiming to be 4-star hotel. In your dreams !

The stay in general was good, room was clean, the hotel a bit older, but after check-out I was shocked about the price for the breakfast. Hadn‘t realized it during booking/check-in. Until the prize for breakfast (40 €) will not at least be decreased by 50% I will not book again for that place.

The hotel is nice, very clean and the breakfast is fantastic. But the real star of this hotel is the staff. Wonderfully helpful and friendly and they were so so kind to our daughter. Comfortable, convenient hotel, what I would expect for this brand. We didn't take breakfast because this was an extra 23 EUR each. Parking was an extra 13 EUR. Easy walk into Aachen for dinner.

Booked the most expensive category = privilege room however even so, cleaners start very noisily cleaning that category at 8 am, shouting at each other across the hallway, vacuuming the hallway etc. There’s obviously no soundproofing on the doors as you could hear everything. Like always at the Mercure’s I’ve stayed at the bathroom smelled of urine. Also hate those coat hangers you can’t take off the rack. I usually don’t stay at the Mercure for all those reasons but made an exception to accommodate a colleague who’s an Accor member, will not be back.
