"The gentleman who cleaned the rooms was extremely kind and made sure we had everything we needed. I hope he is being praised by management for his excellent customer service.
The balcony outside our room is a lovely place to spend some time (when it isn't raining).
Location-wise, Nova is steps from the L train, which makes it super easy to get into Manhattan, especially to places like the Whitney Museum, Union Square, and the East Village - without having to change trains!
We didn't get to experience the rooftop deck. We were informed that it is only open on certain days of the week, I believe beginning on Thursday. That didn't affect our stay this time, since the weather was poor, but it would be nice to have access to it for the view, since it is listed as an amenity and I didn't see a notification that it would not be available on a Wednesday.
The only thing that made us a little wary was the fact that anybody could walk in to the hotel at any time - our key cards only got us into our room, rather than the floor, or the building itself. We were a bit nervous about whether the room was properly locked because the mechanism to close the door is a little loose. All the hotel room doors on our floor seemed to be like this though, and we did not have a problem.
Upon checkout, the lady at the front desk held our bags for us in a secure, locked luggage closet, so we could go on an adventure prior to heading to the airport,
All in all, would stay again!"
