After 3 fast paced days in Times Sq.,Rock plaza, Pod Brooklyn in Williamsburg gave me the chill, n'hood vibe I sought. Super close to restaurants, coffee shops, Whole Foods, local boutiques, and the Bedford Avenue subway station - great base to explore both Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Although I arrived 3 hrs. before check-on, front desk guru checked me right in and upgraded me to a quiet queen room overlooking the rooftop garden. The room was peaceful and spotless. Yes, the rooms are compact, but so well designed with every need met.
Can't say enough about the awesome front desk staff. They took the time to understand what I enjoyed and gave primo recos for restaurants, neighborhoods, and subway directions. Their local knowledge made my trip even better.
A few things to know: daily housekeeping is available; you can request a mini refrigerator and dorm-style microwave for your room. I also appreciated the self-service linen station at the end of each hallway, measy to grab fresh towels or extra bedding without calling the front desk.
Nice mix of travelers -vacationers to remote workers. Especially recommend Pod Brooklyn to solo female travelers. I always felt comfortable walking around the neighborhood. If you're looking for a clean, well-designed hotel in a great Williamsburg location - this is it!"
