"Excellent accommodation in a beautifully clean complex. Rooms cleaned to an immaculate standard: clean bedding and towels every day. Breakfast is simple but fresh local produce. Swimming pool is perfect. A quiet time is observed between 14.30 - 17.30 though you can still swim. We found most families headed for the beach and returned early evening for a sunset swim. Perfect. "Hotel has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful views and is very well maintained. Not walkable to the village for evening meals so taxi is needed. The hotel did arrange for us one evening but feel a regular evening service to the village would be a great addition. Hotel evening meal very good though !!. "

I took this photo in Messinia, Greece in summer 2016. It's of Voidokilia Beach and it's surroundings. Voidokilia Beach is on the Peloponnese peninsula and it was the most picturesque beach that I visited during that Greek trip, which was almost exclusively in Messinia. On that mountain is Nestor's Cave and above this are the ruins of a 13th-century Frankish castle (Old Navarino or Palaiokastro). Look closely and you will see :). I didn't get to walk up there. It was brutally hot that day and I spent most of the time at the beach. But, I did make time for some hiking. Near where I took this photo there was a lot of medieval or ancient ruins. Near those beautiful rocks. I had to be careful when walking on them, but it was worth it!

"Rooms are fairly basic but with lots of space and great air conditioning. Loved dinner at the restaurant. Fab hotel beach and pool and perfect location to walk to local restaurants and shops on the water. Whole family loved our stay here!"
