「The owner greeted us at the door then he showed us to our room. The room was clean and neat. It looked exactly like the pictures online. The next morning he gave us alternate things to do in the area. He had a parfait at our breakfast table waiting for us before our breakfast was ready. He was very friendly. I love the unique pieces in this home. My husband especially loved the art. We would definitely stay here again.」

「Emporium is an old town so we knew ahead of time the home was going to be older. I think they did a nice job bringing it up to date considering its age. Beds were fairly comfortable. The detergent used for the comforter was a bit strong. Fridge's water/ice machine didn't seem to work but there was fresh water in the fridge for us guests. 「Very comfortable and well cared for. Spiral staircase to large upstairs bedroom. Wood floors shining. Property is on a dirt road which is a bit rough but also, no traffic past the lodge and a good place for a walk. Though we brought our own food, there was a lovely plate of apple cake,cookies and loaf of homemade bread waiting for on arrival that we enjoyed. A nice touch.
