Top Northern Madeira Hotel Reviews
Santana in Nature Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"Très bien situé, vue sur l’océan spectaculaire, piscine et bain à remous fort apprécié. Nous recommandons."
NORTH VIEW GUEST HOUSE
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this little hotel. The location is wonderful! The gas station is less than 5 minutes away, and a large grocery store (Continente) is about 10 minutes away. São Vicente is in the middle of the island, so you are right in the middle of all the hikes and viewpoints, and very close to Seixal Beach. Room #1 is the closest room to the kitchen, so it can sometimes be a little noisy when other guests are using the kitchen. Overall, though, it is very quiet and very clean. Always had hot water. We asked the owner for some extra towels for the beach, and he showed up with towels in less than an hour, which was greatly appreciated. The only thing I would point out is that we stayed for 6 nights, and the floor in our room was not vacuumed during the week. We were hiking a lot, so sometimes we would come back with dirty shoes. I ended up cleaning the floor in the room myself. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!"
Solar de Boaventura
10/10 Excellent
"The rooms were clean, and large with large opening windows or balconies to dry your clothes or to let in a breeze. The staff were very nice, friendly and quite helpful. There is exactly enough parking if the hotel is full, as there is two parking lots. Even as the last to come back at the end of the day, we were able to park our mini SUV without issue. The hotel has incredible views of the mountains that surround Boaventura The pool and outdoor relaxation space was very nice to come back to each day for either an afternoon rest or an evening swim. The jacuzzi was not the warmest in the world. You do have to pay 10 euro to use the sauna. Pool hours are 9am-8pm, it would be great if the pool was open later for the late returning travelers. There is plenty of shared space on be property inside and out as well. The buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day, not many options but the options available were good (deli meats, cheese, breads, cereal, fruit and toast, plus coffee and juice). Breakfast hours are from 8am-10am which does make it difficult to enjoy the breakfast if you plan on going somewhere for the sunrise. The dinner menu also had a few choices and the portions were decently large. The hours here are 7pm-9pm which again can make it difficult to enjoy if you go out for a sunset or are maximizing the day on another part of the island."
Casa das Proteas
10/10 Excellent
"Fabulous spot, close to everything but far enough from busy neighbourhoods. Very clean, very friendly. Would definitely recommend."
