「Top lekker schoon」

「Great staff and food. Funny layout in our room - had to move the couch to watch TV. The worst thing on a stinking hot day was the warm beer in the bar! Would stay again.」

「Clean room, nice linen, comfortable. Bike room to store our bikes. Walking distance to the pub for dinner plus general store for breakfast provisions ( also available onsite as an extra).」

「We booked both rooms. The rooms are okay and clean. Felt a bit aged and hadn’t been used for a while. Instructions are minimal, and shampoo is missing in 1 room, the same room the 1 ceiling light was broken. I guess if you are tired after the bike trail for a stopover, you may not care that much, but not an ideal place to relax. We couldn’t really cook or BBQ here. The outdoor area showed in the picture was not readily available. Had to ask and the owner came back in a few hours to connect the...

「I had a lovely albeit short stay at Hawkdun Rise. Suzanne and John are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. The interior could be slightly more modern for my personal taste but everything was very clean and well kept. And you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into creating a space in which their guests can feel comfortable and welcome. Need to try their Gewürztraminer! 」
