「I stayed at this historic hotel for 3 nights back in July 2016 and absolutely loved it. The hotel was MUCH busier back then, completely full of guests. Now, in July 2026, I am sad to say that the hotel is not up to the same standard that it was 10 years ago. The entry had a musty smell, as did the 2nd floor hallway. 「There was a person sleeping in the gazebo one morning when I left my room, I also checked in early and was charged an early check in fee for a room that was empty. I felt like that was something that could have been waived. Also my key cards didn’t work after the first day and when I went to get them fixed the front desk person asked me why I was given a room in the dungeon, I also had several people on my floor slamming doors and yelling in the hall way past midnight. 「My family and I stayed in Hanging Cabin #9, which had bunk beds suited for my two children. The cabin appeared to have been recently renovated, with new flooring and a well-equipped kitchen. It included a TV (unlike other cabins we've stayed in without one) and a nice jacuzzi. Keep in mind that being outdoors means bugs may be around, which is not the property's fault but a natural occurrence. A bit of pest control before guests arrive could have made this place an A+.」
