Top Cano Island Hotel Reviews
Casita Genesis
10/10 Excellent
"It was a beautiful place to stay right on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing and the birds chirping. Very close to restaurants and all of the tours and the host was awesome and very accommodating! Highly recommend!"
Drake Bay Sunset Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"House was exactly as advertised and had a great view. There was a berry tree in front of the house and every day two red Macaws would perch there followed by two toucans. The breakfast was great and you can walk down the stairs right to the beach. The only drawback was the hike up to the house, but everything else was perfect."
Natural Drake Bay Hotel Boutique
10/10 Excellent
"Mariadelia welcomed us to the hotel with smoothies and refreshing towels. She was such an angel our whole stay. She anticipated our needs, answered our questions, and helped us book activities. I hope she gets paid highly because she certainly deserves it! We also loved talking with the bartender, Diego who was a sweetie. One of the chefs, Randall also came over and took a picture of me and my husband without us having to ask. Everyone on staff clearly works hard to upkeep this lovely getaway. The food was delicious, the pool was refreshing, and we LOVED having access to the private beach! We are already talking about coming back to celebrate an anniversary- see you then Natural Drake Bay Hotel!"
Hotel Jinetes de Osa
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay here! We were up in one of the rooms on the hill which had amazing views of the bay as well as great opportunities for birdwatching. The room itself was super clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great proximity to the nature trail as well! We would stay again for sure."

What is the difference between a 4-star and 3-star hotel in Cano Island?
The key difference between a 3- and 4-star hotel in Cano Island is the level of service and availability of creature comforts. Three-star hotels are typically more wallet-friendly and offer the services and conveniences required to be comfy, such as WiFi, a gym and breakfast. You can look forward to a little more at a 4-star hotel — think upmarket interiors, luxury toiletries and extras like spa and wellness centers.
What is the difference between a 3-star hotel and a motel in Cano Island?
Motels usually offer more economical rates than hotels, which makes them excellent if you're traveling around Cano Island and sticking to a budget. A popular pick for overnight trips, these roadside getaways come with simply furnished rooms, basic services and ample parking.
