"A wonderful place to stay in Madeira if you have come for the walking. The villa itself is great with all the amenities you could want - but the best bit is the location. Its easy to get to some pretty good walks either by car or on foot. Parking is straightforward just outside the door - and there is a great supermarket next to the marina a short drive away. But beware - the roads are steep everywhere on the island, so make sure you can do hill-starts !"

"Next to a church - quite loud church bells many times in the day. Very steep slope to walk up from lower street. Did not use the jacuzzi so cannot rate that. Lots of good restaurants 5 minutes walk away, fresh seafood. Funchal airport quite close by - took us 15-20 minutes by uber. Accommodation was good, for a family we were very comfortable, did not do any cooking, just used the fridge, kettle and toaster, and the 1 pedestal fan was very useful and necessary too. "

"The premises were clean, in good condition and well equipped. The location was good for us, the main road was easily accessible. The road however causes noise which can be disturbing at times."

"Meine Begleitung wollte ihre portugiesischen Sprachkenntnisse anwenden, hat aber im Unterricht die brasilianische Aussprache gelernt, das kam nicht gut an, der Gastgeber meinte, es sei eine internationale Unterkunft, wir sollten Englisch sprechen, damit kamen wir weiter, aber dass das brasilianische Portugisisch abgelehnt wurde, war eine Haltung, die bei uns nicht so gut ankam. Schade! Es stellte sich heraus, dass der Gastgeber auch Deutsch spricht, aber erst sehr viel später - wir fühlten uns...
