"We didn't stay here because the owner was horrendous on the phone, the address doesn't actually exist, the phone number is wrong, and she refused to tell us where the "Riad" was- may be far outside Tiznit. She also said that she doesn't do Expedia! Sometimes this happens in Morocco, but this was a first to go completely sideways. "

"Our stay was everything that was promised. The premises were as luxurious as the surrounding could possibly permit (i.e., out in the middle of nowhere). The tent was relatively bug-free; the plumbing worked great; the bed was comfortable. It was easy to lounge around in the common area, and comfortable to wake up at 5am to admire the stars and watch the sun rise. 4 km outside of Tafraoute, the Belgian painter Jean Veran have made his stunning art project. The painted stone formations come as a surprise to you and are a contrast to the landscapes own golden red colors. Jean Veran helps you to experience the beauty of the landscape in a new, and for my part, stronger way. Some places the whole mountain is painted in blue. My personal opinion is that his artistic expression is strongest when he is limited to only paint single stones and restricted areas.
