ibis budget Cherbourg La Glacerie
10/10 Excellent
"The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. I don’t speak a lot of French but she was really understanding. The shower in the room was great and the room was very quiet and clean with a very comfortable bed, so a good nights sleep. I didn’t have breakfast but the dining area looked clean too. I was glad of the gated parking as I had my electric bike on the back of my car and felt it would be secure at night. Would definitely stay again when I next visit France."

10/10 Excellent
"Don't be put off by the 2☆ rating. This wee hotel is good. The staff are friendly, maid service prompt and efficient and location is excellent. Pretty much central in town and lot's of cafes and restaurant's on the doorstep. The rooms are clean and spacious, however a little outdated. I have stayed in 4☆'s that were worse though..The bed is comfortable. Negatives are over the weekend it gets noisy from midnight until around 3/4am due to proximity of late opening bars. Not a big issue though.. The toilet whilst clean could definitely do with a refresh but again it's marketed at a 2☆ so i cant really complain, and again its better than some 4☆'s I've stayed in. There is no elevator so you have to carry luggage up the stairs to your room. The price for my 6 days was so cheap compared to other hotels in Cherbourg. Excellent value. I would definitely stay here again and I genuinely didn't think i would say that when i booked what I thought was a cheap 2☆ hotel. It's definitely the best 2☆ hotel I've stayed in.
