"Convenient to my organized bicycling tour end 4/26 at Hampton Inn Elizabeth City (other hotels in the area were fully booked). Noisy — only 40 meters away from busy hwy US-17 and a high-pitched sound that seems to come from the room’s fridge/freezer; Bring earplugs. Pros: efficient fridge/freezer; business-like staff; clean (except for some stray pet hair). Cons: no security latch on door; in my room 112, unrepaired damage from previous guests — missing shower head (unpleasant to use, to say the least, and Wasteful of water); dented inside bathroom door, dented outside door with keycard-operated lock looking like it’s not biting into solid wood. No desk lamp; chair is not suitable for the desk (no casters). I’d stay here again if no other hotel had rooms available."

"Beds are ok, rooms definitely need upgrade. Sheets had spots on them. Can see water damage in ceiling they just patched and painted over. Had a service dog and wanted his "certificate" or id card. Had to explain all this is not needed. But for the price and a quick stay was ok. "
