"This place is a hidden gem in Takayama. Their free shuttle bus service will take you to the hotel and the station back and forth (15 mins ride). The room was nice, staff super nice, the breakfast is super wonderful and they even gave us some free drink (beer or juice) and free snack (small ramen or ice cream) in the evening! Their SPA bath was very nice and provides such tranquillity in the outdoor bath overlooking the river!! We fell in love!! "

"I loved everything! It was so nice and cozy and the staff were very friendly. The onsens were amazing! Very convenient location and walkable everywhere. Definitely recommend! Only thing is that the staff doesn’t speak english too well so they told me the free ramen was at 1030 so I missed it the first night. It says it’s until 10:30pm but they only open for 30 minutes (opens at 9pm and last call is at 930pm) so I don’t think that part is super clear. Besides that everything was amazing! "

"Everything perfect. We can go the nearest supermarket to buy some fresh veg and meat to cook in the hotel, very convenient. This is the 3rd time we stayed in this hotel. Walkable to the morning market and heritage street. Walkable Cheap parking nearby for only 300yen from 1800pm to 1000am. Thank you so much for this fabulous stay and will stay again next time."

Some shops relatively close by, though a good 10 mins walk to where the action is. Hotel itself is nice and clean and friendly staff. "Fantastic staff who were always helpful and cheerful. The nightly open bar from 5-11 pm in the lounge was incredible and amazingly subdued: tastings of local sakes or the ubiquitous Japanese lagers. Breakfast alternated between Japanese and Western bento boxes, and were filling. The futon beds are very firm, but that was ok with us. Bonus: we left some important medication behind and the staff overnighted it to us in Kyoto for $8.00US!"
