We needed a larger room for our group and booked here. The room was quite spacious. The property was very clean. And we didn’t hear anything outside our room. It was a very convenient location to get to Notre Dame for hockey. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very nice and available for any questions or concerns. The hotel was very clean, quiet and very homey. Good amount of parking and breakfast was better than what we were expecting. Very family friendly, I have a 19 month old. The self serve laundry room was a plus too! Accidents are bound to happen with toddlers. Will consider staying again!

I enjoyed our stay very much. However, the 1st room we checked into the heat didnt seem to work well, so we were moved to a different room and that room, the hot water didnt seem to get very hot. I had to take a really quick shower and so did my husband. Otherwise the stay was nice.

Staff was very courteous and friendly. Room was clean, but building is older/worn. Crowded and busy area of town. Disappointed the hotel raises rates during Notre Dame games, as this room was not worth $430 a night--more like $125-150 a night.

They overbooked the hotel so we didn’t have the room we already paid for when we checked in. Through Expedia we had paid for a 2 bedroom suite. When we went to check in, they said they overbooked the hotel but have a room for us at the Holiday Inn Express down the road. We paid for a 2 bedroom suite and got a regular 2 queen bed room. I would never reserve a room through Homewood Suites in South Bend again.
Clean and nice suites. Breakfast was delicious and several options. Great value for the $.

Rooms are falsely advertised!
Such a disappointment. We booked a 2 bedroom suite for our family which advertised a king bed in one BR and two queen beds in the other. There was a full size bed instead of a king bed. Please be advised this is the case in all of these rooms according to the manager. We ended up having our son stay with a friend because of the lack of bedding. Honestly he got the best end of the deal.
The property was fully booked due to game weekend and it was always a mystery as to whether you would have hot water. Of course I found out about this problem the hard what when I was on a tight schedule and had to take a frigid shower. If you like hot showers, they really don’t exist at this property. Warm maybe on occassion.
Breakfast was meh but no worse than other low grade properties.
The front desk staff upon arrival were very inefficient in the check in. They seemed to be in training and it took much longer than necessary. Between that and the room being not as advertised, I felt there should have been more of an attempt to be apologetic but they acted like it was my problem not theirs. Unprofessional.

We arrived and were told the room type we booked (king suite) was unavailable. After lots of waiting a fuss, we were told the room type WAS available. The toom that was shown in pictures when i booked included a separate bedroom and living area with pullout couch. The room was a single toom no separate space
Amazing staff and super accommodating and pet friendly hotel. My room was immaculate, the biscuits and gravy in the morning were pretty darn good, and it’s a great location. I have found my place to stay when I am in South Bend visiting family! There was plenty of room for my double cat tent, so I could fit the litter box, a comfy bed and food bowls inside with plenty of room for my cat to still run around within the confines of her enclosure. I didn’t have to worry about a pet sitter and my cat did not have to get stressed out by my leaving. since this is such a great pet friendly hotel, I would just ask that any potential visitors who bring pets be very respectful of the property and leave the room super clean so we don’t lose the privilege of traveling with our animals.
When we booked the room online, it showed us a suite with a separate bedroom and a pull out couch. When we checked in we got a 1 room bed with a pull out couch. Desiree, Kacy and LaTonya were amazing. They upgraded our room and gave us a welcome bag. They were so kind and helpful. I would stay here again because of them.
Great place to stay with grandchildren. Breakfast was Great, the person working the breakfast was friendly and remembered us during our stay. Front desk friendly. Very clean and comfortable. Definitely staying there again

Homewood suites gave my suite for my two night stay (family of 7) away and wouldn’t provide accommodations for me elsewhere. My reservation was guaranteed and already paid for. I had the confirmation. The attendant called the Management, at my request. The manager told the attendant the only way they’d accommodate our size of family was if we paid an extra $100. I was not willing to do that, especially since my reservation was guaranteed and paid for. The manager was not willing to speak to me directly. I called Hotels.com customer service. They helped us find rooms (no suites) in a different hotel. We had to sacrifice 1.5 hours of our trip dealing with terrible management.
