Good value hotel with great service. I've rated the hotel taking into account the cost of the hotel, relative to what we received. The hotel decor is dated but is clean and comfortable. Free breakfast - although not a huge spread like some hotel, they had sufficient choices and what they did serve was tasty and of good quality (better than some breakfast I had to paid additional for). The breakfast options is much like the breakfast they serve in Japan, so didn't not really have western options. Having coin operated washing machine facility onsite was super convenient. Check in and express check out, were both quick and easy. Staff were helpful, for example ordering take out for us.

Staff is very rigid, unfriendly and unyielding. I have stayed at Toyoko Inn extensively in the past, but the poor customer experience / support this time around has really put on a negative impression.

Good for short stays
I went with the expectation that the room will be small, but to my surprise, there is no wardrobe, so it made the space even smaller. We had to tuck 2 opened luggage under the bed and pick clothes from there. There are a few hangers available but there isn’t much space to hang. The pillows were also pretty uncomfortable with the beads inside. The room is pretty clean, thankfully :) we stayed for 6 nights and felt we had overstayed as this place is better for 3 nights at most. There were many good reviews about breakfast, but we felt it’s fine to give it a miss.

Excellent location with 2 metro stations within walking distance. Very clean hotel with decent breakfast included. There are many shops and food outlets nearby. Easy access to most attractions in and around Seoul. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a quiet and safe place to stay.

The room is a bit larger than expected but it’s too noisy, I even hear someone move the luggage in the hall way and sound from construction site nearby in early morning. Subway Sangil station is in the walking distance but I’d recommend Yeungdongpo station is much better for shopping and dinning.
